The initiative Fashion Against Aids (FAA) by H&Mexists now since 4 years. With this cmpaign H&M wants to contribute growing a stronger awareness for HIV and wants to collect money for charity at the same time. Until now 41 millions SEK were collected for Designers Against Aids (DAA) and various other international HIv/Aids-Projects. The collection this year is a sporty unisex variation because this topics affects both men and women. From 26th april the collection is in the Divided-Department at H&M Stores. 25% of the proceeds go as donation to HIV/Aids-Youthprojects around the world.
The key message according to Ninette Murk (Founder and Creative Director DAA) is:
“Life is beautiful so take care that it stays this way and pay attention to safety, for your own as well for the safety of your partner.”
You can mix the pieces of the collection and customize them on your personal taste. Nature- and Pastell-Tones define the collection. As is said next week you can buy the collection and here is a little foretaste.

H&M Home opened a store in Frankfurt. The new shopping system is interesting but i ask myself how many plastic bags get used if everything is put in it before. And i wonder how the magnets get updated. Do they get thrown away at the change of the collection or are the trainees allowed to peel off the stickers and put on new ones? Questions over questions.

Actually i should be at an opening reception of Artek in Milan. Unfortunately it didn´t fit into my calendar anymore. I´m really curious where i can read the latest interviews with Ville Kokkonen (Design Director), Mirkku Kullberg (CEO) or Juhani Lemmetti (Business Dvp Director). Artek show their pieces at the EUROLUCE fair and at the gallery Giò Marconi in Milan. Artek is in the middle of a change and follows a new portfolio strategy. They show for examle the following pieces. This table could look nice in my living room.
